To reduce the risk of disease transmission and protect your family, friends, and others, please abide by the enhanced self-health management measures for the first five days following your return. Starting from the fifth day, if you have no symptoms and obtain a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result, please abide by the regular self-health management measures through the 14th day after your return.
With the exception of those who traveled with and returned to Taiwan with you, living arrangements should consist of one person per room, with each person having a private bathroom. Those who live in the same residence should follow appropriate practices such as wearing medical masks, maintaining social distancing, and not taking meals together.
If you do not develop any symptoms, you are permitted to leave your residence. However, please limit the number of venues you visit. You may not take public transportation. You are prohibited from going to crowded places (such as markets, nightclubs, night markets, department stores, restaurants, tourist attractions, etc.). Moreover, you should postpone all nonessential or nonurgent medical care or examinations. If you do visit the hospital, you should inform hospital staff of your travel history.
Register under your real name where required, and keep a list of your activities and people you come in contact with. Avoid contact with random people, wear a medical mask at all times, and practice social distancing.
If you are staying at a quarantine hotel, please visit leisure facilities at staggered times to avoid contact with others. In addition, after you leave such facilities, please notify hotel staff to conduct disinfection.
A person must be designated to assist you in arranging the route and related protective measures at the medical institution where you take your COVID RT-PCR test on the fifth day after your arrival. (The test must be conducted no later than the seventh day after arrival.) You may not take public transportation to the medical institution or to return to your residence (or quarantine hotel) after taking a COVID-19 test. If the test result is negative, you should continue to practice regular self-health management measures until the 14th day after arrival.
Please maintain hand hygiene by washing your hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizers, and refrain from touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. If you touch secretions from your respiratory tract with your hands, please wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
During the self-health management period, please record body temperature in the morning and the evening and record your health conditions and activities. You must also cooperate in responding to text messages concerning your health condition. Personal information collected in connection with the self-health management period shall be destroyed 28 days after the end of the period.

All information on individuals practicing self-health management shall be uploaded to the National Health Insurance Medi-Cloud system to remind medical personnel to implement the TOCC mechanism, i.e., rigorously inquire and record travel history, occupation, contact history, and cluster information, so as to prevent cluster infections in hospitals.
If you do not exhibit any symptoms, you may go about your life normally. If you must go out, please wear a medical mask correctly at all times and avoid entering areas where you cannot maintain social distancing (1.5 meters indoors and 1 meter outdoors) or areas where you are likely to come into close contact with random people.
You are prohibited from engaging in close or cluster activities with other individuals such as having meals together, joining gatherings or public gatherings, or engaging in other similar activities.
You may not stay with a hospitalized individual in a hospital. If you do not exhibit COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, diarrhea, loss of smell or taste, or respiratory symptoms, you may visit hospitalized individuals after testing negative in accordance with the regulations concerning the Application Form for Out-of-Pocket Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Nonessential or nonurgent medical services or examinations must be postponed. In the event that urgent medical services or examinations are required, you must contact the local Department of Health or call 1922 and follow instructions on seeking medical attention.
If you exhibit COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, diarrhea, loss of smell or taste, or respiratory symptoms, or if your symptoms become more severe and you need to seek medical attention again, you must voluntarily contact the local Department of Health or call 1922 and follow instructions on seeking medical attention; you may not use public transportation when you seek medical attention. Also, you must voluntarily inform the doctor of your contact history, travel history, residence history, occupation, and whether other people around you exhibit similar symptoms.
After seeking medical attention, if you have been reported as a possible case of COVID-19 and are tested by a medical institution, you are required to stay in your residence (or quarantine hotel and general hotel) and may not go outside before receiving the test results. If the test results are positive, the local Department of Health will notify you and arrange for you to go to the hospital. If the test results are negative, you are still required to practice self-health management until the end of the original period.
If you exhibit symptoms, you must recuperate in your residence or quarantine hotel (During the self-management period, you may stay in a general hotel.). and wear a medical mask. You may not go outside. You must wear a medical mask when talking with others and maintain a distance of at least 1 meter. When your mask is contaminated by nasal or oral secretions, you must replace it immediately, fold it inwards, and dispose of it properly.
If the duration of stay in Taiwan is less than 14 days, you are still required to acquire a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued within three days prior to departure and provide the test result for inspection at departure.
Those who fail to take a COVID-19 test between the fifth day and the seventh day after arrival or who violate self-health management regulations will be penalized and be forcibly placed in a group quarantine facility until the 14th day after entry.
Those who do not abide by the self-health management regulations are in violation of Subparagraph 3, Paragraph 1, Article 58 of the Communicable Disease Control Act, and a fine of between NT$10,000 and NT$150,000 may be imposed in accordance with Article 69 of the act.
If you disagree with this notice, please prepare an administrative appeal pleading and file the administrative appeal to the agency which the administrative action was made within 30 days from the next day of the receipt of this notice, in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 1, Article 58 of the Administrative Appeal Act, to transfer the appeal to the agency with jurisdiction of administrative appeal.
